Hi everyone,

Belated Happy New Year!

Apologies for not having been on here for ages, things have been a little hectic - have taken on new role at work (well been doing it since at least last Septmber, but still not formalised, and therefore unable to tell most folk I work with that I've been promoted!) and then my dad has been very poorly. Hadn't put anything on facebook about it as my parents are a bit more private than I am!

Have a ton of posts to catch up on so please bear with me.

One thing I would like to ask is, is it normal for my whole body to ache? The only way I can describe this is if one touches me, my arm for instance, then it hurts - sensitive nerve endings perhaps?

I have appt with rheumy next Thursday (that's if they reopen the hospital as it is closed due to norovirus outbreak) and intend asking for a scan to determine where RA is affecting me. My new role at work will have the benefit of BUPA so I need to know what is RA and therefore a pre existing condition in case anything else occurs.

Hope everyone is keeping well.

Love Nina xxx

PS Please don't post any messages on fb re either my parents or my promotion - thank you.

Hi Nina

Sorry to hear about your dad- I know how you feel as my dad isn't good at all and we've been having a rough time as a family. I can't offer any advice about your aches and pains except to say that I've had a lot all over too- I'm putting it down to the stress with dad . I expect the fact that you can't tell anyone about your promotion isn't helping either. Nor the disruption due to the weather- I've been finding it hard to get about and walk in the snow /ice. I've been giving myself as much tlc as possible, warm baths and taking paracetamol.

Take care- look after yourself
